I'm bored... tired... the story of my life. And I tought, what if I write a blog of my own? One where I can express my own ideas. Well, not exactly my own ideas, because in the end we're all influenced by other people's ideas. The trick is to know which influences are the best for use, for our situation, which makes us a better person. I decided to go for it!I'm gonna start by saying I hate our society, modern society in general, a society which only cares about material objects, about what's on the surface and don't give a fuck about anything else. Where people treat other people different only because of the color of their skin, their sexual preferences, religion or ideas. Where people is divided by classes, a society that justifies the death of an animal just for the sake of entertainment and where mass media controls our life.
I know I'm part of this "system" I hate so much, but their's nothing I can do about it... so I try to work from the inside, trying to make people a little more conscious about the world that surrounds them. The moment I influence someone to be better, then I can die peacefully. I'm a anti-sexist, anti-racist, anti-facist, anti-nazi, prochoice, prolegalization, anti-heterosexism, straight edge teenager.
And I know what you must be thinking: "Well, his just another "punk" teenager, a rebel without a cause".... well maybe I am one, but I have some ideas of my own. Some people might call me weirdo or freak, but at least I'm a bit conscious about the world I live on, and the people that inhabit it. Like the Bad Religion song says: "Eternity can never change your mind, so think before you die". What's the point of living if your the same as everybody else, if your only a clone... a mindless drone that follows a hive mind.
I'm also open to new ideas and suggestions , because I'm not perfect. I also need to grow as a person, as a human being...

ResponderEliminarAmazing speech erick. Indeed, people get influenced by others and receive nothing at the end but confusion and mistrust from everyone except, perhaps, the person that he/she admires. Maa media is a very powerful business. Its so strong that we can't live without it, nor try to keep a day without watching one. They're always there.
ResponderEliminarYet, there is a risk on rebellion. As you may not remember, men who stand alone in a protest have higher probabilities of depression in their lives, and are also more susceptible of emotional damage. "3 of every 5 teenagers think of taking their lives at least once" much? Yet, there is a great purpose in your ideas and motivations. I also disagree with people that do not understand the huge variety existant in this planet. Sadly, many humans close their senses and figure their belief as the ultimate, adequate idea, when in reality, there is always a contradiction in every sort of statement. Even worse is the fact that others laugh at this statement, which means that they lack perception, which is what many citizens and teenagers (along with kids) need.
Perhaps they think you and everyone who makes a comment here make no difference, but it is not true. With every sort of experience and event, we get stronger and state our principles of life, no matter how awkward, strange, or maddening it is for us.
So, to make a fire of difference, you are already starting a small, important spark that gets stronger with your determination. Don't give up erick. You already have a person that shares your ideas.
